Parents of College Freshman Workshop

Launching of the Beta College - Leg up Workshop on August 7th at 10:30 AM

As a parent of an incoming college freshman, you have a lot on your plate. You're probably wondering how you'll be able to help them succeed in their new environment. Your student is eager and ready to work hard to get the best education possible. However, even the best colleges can't teach everything. That's where the Beta College - Leg up Workshop comes in.

The Beta College - Leg up Workshop is a three-hour immersive, engaging workshop designed for Incoming College Freshmen to get a head start!

The Workshop is based on my nine years of working with college students providing executive skills and academic coaching, through which I've seen time and time again that the biggest challenge for college students is TIME MANAGEMENT!

There's no greater challenge than managing your time and balancing all aspects of college life. Learning to juggle class, unstructured study hours for research/writing projects that need attention, and extracurricular activities can be tough! The list goes on and on!

This Energetic three-hour workshop will give students an unfair advantage by diving deep into their habits, systems, and mindsets while learning through interactive games to understand how the decisions they make in their everyday life affect them, like:

Choosing to go to class or not and the implications

Knowing when to ask for help and how

Discovering which High School strategies still apply and which don't work anymore, like pulling all-nighters.

In this workshop, students are guaranteed to have a few extra tools in their toolbox and learn how they can better prepare themselves for what's ahead using the Four D-Method:

Definitions - Understanding what time management entails.

Disconnects - What are preconceived notions and potential challenges like getting past procrastination.

Decision-Making - Understanding possible implications of choices

Designing - Tools to create the outcomes they are looking for.

When: August 7th at 10:30 AM

Time Commitment: 3-Hours (Snacks and Drinks will be provided)

Where: TBD

Cost: The Beta Price of this workshop is $97 ($100 discount), and at the end of the workshop, I will be asking for student feedback so I can improve this workshop based on their input!
