Position Posting: 

Position Title: Child/Adolescent Psychologist (Independent Contractor).

Summary: Birch Psychology is seeking a child & adolescent psychologist licensed in the state of Colorado. We are seeking an individual interested in both clinical and assessment services. The psychologist will work closely and collaboratively with a team of clinicians that provide support to one another, as well as to our patients. The ideal candidate is flexible in their clinical approach, with a skill-set that can integrate relational/dynamic models of therapy as well as behavioral/skill-based techniques. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will possess flexibility in being able to work with children across the age span. We are currently looking for one full-time and one part-time candidate.

Birch Psychology is a group private practice comprised of clinicians that work with individuals across the age span. We hold specialties in the areas of grief/loss, trauma, early childhood mental health, child and family psychology, and assessment. Responsibilities: 

  • Providing therapeutic services to a variety of presenting concerns, ages and within multiple modalities (e.g., individual, family, couples, group)

  • Performing psychological/diagnostic evaluations

  • Support and sustain a case load through professional development/networking within the community

  • Attend and participate in multiple consultation meetings per week as a method of providing and receiving support regarding cases

  • Demonstrate an understanding of case conceptualization and formulation of therapy and assessment plans (e.g., goals)

Location: Denver, CO (Capitol Hill). 

Ideally, this individual would be available for both tele-health (remote) and in-person services, and have an interest in taking some clients on the weekends and after regular business hours to fulfill our current needs.

Qualifications/Skills:

Necessary: 

  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.

  • Licensure in the state of Colorado

  • Current malpractice insurance

  • 2-3 years of experience post-licensure

Preferred: 

  • Experience working in a private practice setting

  • Excellent technology skills

  • Weekend and evening availability
