New Student and Post-Doc Position information!

PRACTICUM/EXTERN

Birch Psychology holds two to three practicum/extern positions on the child psychology side, under the supervision of licensed clinicians (1. an advanced general position: therapy and assessment: across the age span - early childhood to adult; 2. advanced assessment/group therapy position: adolescent focused 3. early childhood and infant mental health position). The program is primarily focused on therapy and assessment training. Specialized training can be obtained in the areas of early childhood psychology, psycho-ed and social/emotional assessments, and group therapy experience. Ideal candidates are advanced level students with course-completion in the areas of assessment (Psycho-Ed, IQ, etc.). Please email CV’s and Resumes to info@birchpsychology.com. Our deadline for applications is approximately February/March with our positions cycling between August to August. Students welcoming 2 year long placements are ideal candidates. Interviews occur during the months of February/March with our decisions/offers completed by early March.

POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWS

Birch Psychology holds two post-doc fellow positions on either the child and/or adult side, under the supervision of licensed clinicians. The program is primarily focused on professional development in the area of private practice, with specialized training in therapy and assessment (including options ranging from early childhood psychology, grief/loss, family therapy and group therapy). Ideal candidates have interest in a career in private practice and may transition into a full-time position within the practice (if deemed appropriate). Please email CV’s/Resumes to info@birchpsychology.com Our deadline for applications is approximately January 5th, with our positions cycling from August to August and a 2 year post-doc is typical (although most recent post-docs have completed their hours in approximately one year). Interviews occur during the months of January and February with our decisions/offers completed by mid to late February.

Kyndal Sims (she/her) is the practice manager at Birch Psychology. She graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology. She also attended Colorado State University and received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology.
